Car Alarms
At some point or another you will park your car in a street or public car park that is not well attended, that doesn't have good lighting; or you will park it in an unattended drive way or tourist spot with your valuable belongings in it. An analysis of car thefts reveals that majority of cars that are stolen are not fitted with any form of theft deterrent such as an immobiliser. Twenty two thousand cars - about one every 25 minutes - are stolen each year throughout New Zealand. According to the police on average only 4000 cars are recovered a year with a high percentage of them being trashed by joy riders.
