The McMurdo SMARTFIND E5 is Meosar compatible and supplied with a SOLAS approved Auto Float Free Housing. The SmartFind E5 is a 406 MHz EPIRB designed to operate with the COSPAS-SARSAT search and rescue system as well as incorporating a 121.5MHz homing signal and high brightness LED to support the local rescue effort

The McMurdo SmartFind E5 EPIRB (Auto Float Free) meets SOLAS requirements and is supplied with a float free housing which automatically deploys and activates the EPIRB if the boat is sinking. The SmartFind E5 features a comprehensive diagnostic and self-test facility to keep you up to date on remaining battery usage and EPIRB operation.
